This Action Playset comes with a manually operated trash compactor and an escape hatch that opens at the last second! Other features include an elevator, remote operated blast door that springs shut, plus a blast hatch to let the figures "jump" into the trash compactor. Set comes with 8 unique die cast figures including HAN SOLO and LUKE SKYWALKER in STORMTROOPER outfits. DEATH STAR Compactor can connect to other DEATH STAR Action Playsets. Available Summer 1982. Source: 1982 Kenner Toy Fair Catalog Description: One of the cooler Micro Collection playsets, the Death Star Compactor boasted some pretty neat features, including a trash compactor (filled with bits of orange foam "trash") and a movie-accurate blast door. It also featured some of the best figures in the line, namely Luke and Han in their Stormtrooper outfits and Ben Kenobi-- characters unavailable in any other set. In my experience, the Compactor is one of the tougher Micro toys to find. Both this toy and its companion Death Star Escape set were included in the rare Death Star World ensemble.
